The Dishwasher is in too, but it was still in the box, so I didn’t get any pix yet.

Also, our new KING SIZE (YaY!) bed came in too…

A Work in Progress (Pt. 3 – The weather doesn’t cooperate)

 

Due to our HUGE snow storm, I didn’t get over there yesterday to look the new appliances.  So here’s a couple random pix I hadn’t posted before.

Here you can see the Living Room carpet and wall colors together.

 

A few of the front of the house before it was mowed and brush hogged.  In the spring when the weather is better we’ll be building a nice big wrap-around deck…

WHO WANTS TO SEE SOME COLOR?!?

 

Dining room

We’d originally decided to go with “Pacific Palisade”  which is the the 3rd one down in the strip that’s out furthest to the left.  (Did that make sense? LOL) 

When the time came to go buy the paint however, we went with this instead:

It’s “Slate Green”.  I LOVE it!

In this one you can see a sample of the floor we’re putting down in there.  I think it looks really nice.  I can’t wait to see it all come together!

Here I was trying to get both both the colors of the dining room and beyond into the living room to show how nice they look together.  But it was dark and the lights are kinda bright.

Don’t think the pictures are doing the color justice, but I love it anyhow.  We went with “Grey Plank” in the living room.  We wanted something kinda neutral but still color.  Not white, or beige, or cream, or anything to blah… 

Oh and in the last two pics, I just noticed, you can see a bit of the new flooring.  That’s the new living room carpet and the linoleum in the kitchen.

Can sort of see the color a little bit better here, and you can see the dining room too, and the flooring.

Some of those are off my cell so they aren’t so great.

This is all I have for now!  Appliances come today, YaY I’m so excited.  Hopefully the weather cooperates and I can get out there tonight and look and take some pictures of course…

A Work in Progress (Pt. 1)

 

Don’t have too much time left to blog today, but I wanted to post a couple of “During” Shots…

 

Oh, and I forgot to mention before.  We’ve been calling it “Our Happy House” because that’s what Gabi called it the first time her Daddy asked her if she liked it.

 

Here goes:

 

Floors up in kitchen.  Also all the appliances are going.  Stay tuned for what’s coming in its place.  They get delivered tomorrow!!!

Floors also up in dining room.  New color coming too…

Can see some color samples up.  Oh, and the blinds are getting replaced.

Floors out of the laundry and 1/2 bath too.

Starting on the Living Room wall.  We took down all the “battens” (fancy name for the strips they put in between the drywall in manufactured homes in order to save time in not finishing drywall.), finished the drywall, and painted!  Looks Amazing…

Fixed the floor by the door (had a rotted spot).  Carpet up.  Finishing drywall.

Don’t know why, but I love this pic.  It was a late night working on the drywall.  Oh, and at this point I think we were still working by generator because we had to run electric still. (Now, that’s a story!  Now, I wish I’d taken pictures of that day… LOL)

Let’s start in the kitchen.  I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this kitchen!  I really think it MAKES this house…

    

    

  

 

 

 

Tired of the Kitchen yet?  Okay lets move on.

 

Beyond the Kitchen is the Dining Room.  Yes, Dining Room!  No more tiny, cramped, not-enough-room-for-a-family-of-five eat in kitchen for us… YaY!

  

Hmm, guess we didn’t get too many “before” pix of the dining room.  That 2nd one is standing in the D/R looking into the Laundry Room with the Guest 1/2 bath at the other end.

 

The 1/2 bath.  I’m so excited to have a guest bathroom. 

 

 

Okay, so the genius who owned the house before us did some CRAZY things.  For example, (hope I don’t confuse everyone here) between the 1/2 bath & and the Master there was a linen closet.  He took down that wall and now it goes straight through.  We are turning it back into a closet.  But here’s what it looks like in the mean time.
